Born on April 23rd 1949, Professor Robert Ajayi Boroffice is a Nigerian Politician and Senator representing Ondo North Senatorial District. He was born in Iboje Quarters, Oka Akoko, Akoko South west in Ondo state. 

Senator Boroffice was born to the family of Boroffice by Late Pa Zachaeus Omololu Boroffice and Late Mrs. Comfort Aina Boroffice. 

Senator Robert Ajayi Boroffice later got married to his heartthrob Mrs Boroffice, who hails from Iwaro Oka Akoko, Ondo state  Geopolitical Zone: South West Nigeria Religion: Christian Marital Status: Married Language: English and Yoruba

Growing up, Senator Prof. Robert Ajayi Boroffice had his elementary (primary) education at Christ school Sabo, ibaka Oka Akoko, Ondo State from 1955 to 1960 and furthered his education into Secondary school at the African Church Grammar School, Owase, Oka Akoko, Ondo state. This was between 1961 and 1965. Senator Boroffice went on to win a first division in West Africa School Certificate Examination. Not only did he attend African Church Grammar School (ACGS), He also attended Victory College off Ugbe Road, Ikare Akoko for his Higher School Certificate (HSC) from 1966 to 1967. After his secondary school education in ACGS oka Akoko and VCI Ikare Akoko respectively, He further his education into University of Ibadan (UI) in which he studied Geology and later changed his course to Zoology and graduated as the best graduating student of his department in 1971 with second class upper division.

Moving on, SenatorAjayi Boroffice proceeded to bag his Ph.D in Genetics.  He bagged his Post-Doctorate Research Fellowship in Human Genetics Profession √ Politician √ Lecturer √ Public Servant Work Experience Lecturer at the University Of Ibadan in 1975 Head of Department, Dean of Faculty and chairman of the committee of Deans. Professor of Zoology at Lagos state University in 1986 Coordinating Director for Science in the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI). He focus on biotechnology, information and communication technology and Space Science and technology He became founding Director General of national Space and Development Agency (NASRDA) in 199 Two satellite as launched during his leadership. The two satellites are: NigeriaSat-1 which is Low orbit earth observation microsatellite launched in 2003 NigcomSat-1 in 2007 He also laid the groundwork for the building of NigeriaSat-2 and NigeriaSat-X in August 2011, from Russia

Senator Boroffice officially began his Political Career when He was elected Senator for Ondo North Senatorial District in 2011 Under Labour Party. On December 28, 2011 Boroffice decamped to Action Congress of Nigeria in order to become Ondo state Governor He was re-elected for second term Senator representin Ondo North Senatorial District in 2015 under All Progressive Congress He’s currently the Senator representing Ondo North Senatorial District for the third time.

As a reward for his excellent efforts, Sen. Prof. Robert Ajayi Boroffice was titled Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) by President Olusegun Obasanjo in 2004.  He was also honoured with the Golden Merit Award in Space Science by World Federation of Science Journalist in 2011 Chairman Senate Committee on Science And Technology.

Senator Robert Ajayi Boroffice has accomplished an incredible amount in his life. As a professor, he was a key figure in developing Nigeria’s Science infrastructure, particularly as the first Director General of the National Space Research and Development Agency, launching the first ever Nigerian Satellite. Now  taking his ambitions to the Political Sector, Prof. Robert Ajayi Boroffice is striving to realize his dream of a peaceful Nigeria where opportunity for young people abounds.
