New Man Gospel Writing Contest Relaunches in 2025

After a brief hiatus in 2024, the New Man Gospel Writing Contest is back for its 2025 edition. 

 

This time, the quarterly project, like before which is organized by the New Man Movement, aims to recognize and celebrate the creative writing talents of Christian writers and creatives. 

 

Theme and Categories

The theme for the 2025 contest is "Partakers of His Grace" (2nd Peter 1:4, John 14:20). 

Participants can submit their entries in one of four categories: 

• Prose/Short Story (maximum of 5000 words)
• Poetry (minimum of 30 lines)
• Drama (maximum of 5000 words)
• Essay/Article Writing (maximum of 2000 words)

Eligibility and Submission Guidelines

The contest is open to all Christians and true believers in Christ. Participants can submit a maximum of two entries, which must be properly typed in Microsoft Word. The submission portal will be open from January 31st, 2025, to March 12th, 2025. *Prizes* The total prize value for the contest is ₦200,000 ($250), which includes: - Cash prizes for each category - Book and website publishing packages - Brand souvenirs - Gift items from sponsors - Certificate of participation for all entries Winners will be recognized at a special e-award giving program, details of which will be announced upon completion of the writing competition. New Man Movement Announce Winners of Gospel Writing Contest

Organizers of the yearly New Man Gospel Writing Contest have officially announced the winners of the 2023 edition of the Gospel contest.

In an official press release on the organisation’s Website, which was made available to Daily News Report, the President of the New Man Movement, Mr Nelson Vincent Ayomitunde expressed his gratitude to God for the successful completion of the 2023 edition of the Gospel Writing contest.

According to the press release, the winners of the 2023 edition of the contest are - Teriba Korede Michael (Poetry Category), Jude Mark Samuel (Prose Category), Iheme Favour Chioma (Article Category) and Lois Ayomide Olusegun (Drama Category).

While congratulating the winners, Mr Nelson Vincent appreciated the efforts of the writers in the contest from putting pen to paper, down to the online website voting stage by the shortlisted entries. He also commended the skill, exemplary choice of words and the overall adherence of the writers to the theme of the contest.

The 2023 contest which was themed “Unashamed of the Gospel” was inspired by Scriptures in Romans 1:16 and collected submissions from across Nigeria between 31st January, 2023 and 1st March, 2023.

Since it’s launch in 2017, the New Man Gospel Writing Contest has been a yearly project organised by the New Man Movement. Today, the writing contest has evolved to recognise the efforts and excellence of Christian writers and creatives, show them to the world and ultimately preach the gospel of Christ through creative writing.
