Noise Pollution: Is the African Man loud, Nasty and Brutish?

Editor

The average African man has been taught that being quiet and gentle might make them come off as less of a man, that they need to be loud to be heard and they need to lead with confidence leaving no room for weakness. Let's face it, the ego that comes with a man makes them loud enough but contrary to popular beliefs, not all loud men are insensitive.

Quite often we associate loud behaviour with arrogance just as we associate quiet as being gentle but those are just stereotypes we formulated. I have met African men who have expressed gentleness but can be loud and vice versa. It is quite amazing how we shut out our minds to men who break the stereotypical portrayal of who an African man should be and quite often associate them with weakness.

The Average mentality that circulates through our minds as Africans is a form of noise pollution we have been exposed to for a long time, so yes African men can be loud, yes sometimes they can be nasty or brutish but a majority of them are beating the stereotypes.
So to the best of your opinion, sit and think before you answer, Is the African Man loud? Is he Nasty? And is he Brutish?
