There are people who choose between passion and profession — and then there is Tega Clifford, who decided she didn't have to. Known widely as **Tega of Lagos**, Oghenetega Enyoyi has spent the better part of a decade building two parallel identities: a certified banking professional navigating Nigeria's corporate finance world, and a vibrant content creator helping everyday Nigerians make sense of money, beauty, and life.

Born on **February 25, 1999**, and hailing from Delta State, Tega has made Lagos her stage — and she has used it well.

Early Life and Education

Tega's academic journey took her through Landmark College before she gained admission to **Covenant University**, one of Nigeria's most respected private institutions. Between 2014 and 2018, she studied **Sociology**, graduating with a **Second Class Upper** degree — a result that reflected both her intellectual ability and the well-rounded campus life she led. She was Welfare Secretary of her class, competed in track and field events, and danced with the university's Reflections Dance Group.

## A Career Built on Curiosity

Tega didn't wait for graduation before getting her feet wet. As early as 2015, she was gaining experience as a **Public Relations Intern** at Media Craft Communications, developing a sharp instinct for storytelling and brand communication that would define her later career.

In 2016, she volunteered with the **National Commission for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons**, participating in World Refugee Day activities — an early signal of her community-minded spirit.

By 2017, she was gaining hands-on banking experience as a **Bulk Teller Intern at Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB)**, followed in 2018 by a more strategic role as a **Merchant Relations Officer** at GTB's SME MarketHub. There, she helped manage food promotions and contributed to high-profile events including the GTB Fashion Weekend and the Food and Drink Fair. It was during this period that she developed her client service instincts and her ability to read and connect with a wide range of people.

## The NYSC Chapter That Changed Everything

After university, Tega completed her **National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)** at **Connect Marketing Services**, an experiential marketing company based in Ikeja GRA, Lagos. This chapter turned out to be transformative.

She served as an accountability partner to the Managing Director, leading brand activations for major names including **MTN, Stanbic IBTC, the NBA, and Promasidor**. She also worked on pitches for companies like **Kwik Delivery, L'Oréal, Sterling Bank, and Air Peace**.

It was here that her confidence found its voice. The public-facing nature of experiential marketing sharpened her public speaking, and it was during this same period — in late 2019 — that she launched her **YouTube channel**, beginning with makeup tutorials, natural hair content, lifestyle vlogs, and get-ready-with-me videos.

She also volunteered at **TechPlus Nigeria's annual event**, where she did makeup for Women in Tech participants and later joined TechPlus as a **Video Editor**, managing short-form content and social media communications. A highlight was interviewing **Silas Adekunle**, the renowned robotics entrepreneur, at the TechPlus event held at Federal Palace Hotel in 2019.

## Banking Career: From Access Bank to FCMB

In 2019, Tega was accepted into the **School of Banking Excellence (SBE) at Access Bank**, a competitive trainee programme. She went on to serve as a **Relationship Officer in Access Bank's Business Banking Division** for over three years (October 2019 – April 2023), developing deep expertise in customer relationship management, business development, and personal branding within a financial services context.

In April 2023, she joined **First City Monument Bank (FCMB)** as a **Relationship Officer**, a role she continues to hold. Her work spans customer relationship management, banking operations, HR collaboration, and content management — a uniquely modern mix that reflects how she bridges the corporate and creative worlds.

Her professional credentials were further cemented in **April 2021**, when she was certified by **The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN)** as an **Associate Chartered Banker (ACIB)** — a qualification that places her among Nigeria's formally recognised banking professionals.

Yeah worked with Guaranty Trust Bank for 3 months as a Bulk Teller intern. In 2018, she worked with GTB as a Merchant Relation intern, which was for 6 months at their Sme Markethub, which is their online shopping platform, I was in charge of Food Promos on the hub, i helped with the planning of Food and Drink fair, GTB Fashion Weekend and Black November sales. Here, she learned the skill of client services while working with them and also it exposed me to a lot of people with different characters and perspectives about life.

I also worked with an NGO at Obafemi Awolowo, Victoria Island, Lagos. It deals with Refugees and asylum seekers who come to Nigeria to seek refuge and shelter. She worked there voluntarily participated in the World Refugee Day.

Afterwards, I worked with an experiential marketing company called Connect Marketing Services as a Corper located at Ikeja GRA.

As a Corper, I became the Accountability Partner to the Managing Director of the company, heading several activations for company’s like MTN, STANBIC, NBA, PROMASIDOR etc. 

We worked on pitches for company’s like Kwik Delivery, L’Oréal, Sterling Bank, Air Peace etc 

While at CMS, I volunteered for TECHPLUS during their yearly event as a Crew member, did makeup for all the Women in Tech during their interviews,”.

Also, I started my YouTube Career while at Connect Marketing Services, shooting contents like makeup videos, natural hairstyles, Get Ready With Me videos, lifestyle and family. 

I did an interview with Silas Adekunle during the TECHPLUS event at Federal Palace in 2019. My experience in experiential marketing helped build my self confidence, helped build my public speaking skills.

In 2019/2020, I got into the SBE for Access Bank as an Trainee for six months before the Pandemic.
