Biography of Adigun Abidemi Nafisat

Adigun Abidemi Nafisat is a fast rising American based Nollywood actress, filmmaker, script writer, story creator, dancer, producer and critic.

Adigun Abidemi Nafisat holds a Bachelors of Arts (BA) Degree from the Department of Dramatic Arts Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife
 


Adigun Nafisat Abidemi, popularly known as Atupa, was born into a Muslim family of five, and hails from Iwo land in Osun state. She grew up in Ile-Ife with her two sisters 

I have always been interested, but genuinely started making moves in 2014. I was sending DMs to directors, and actors, and was trying to be involved, but my first movie appearance was Aje in 2018.
 

I enjoy writing scripts a lot, I work with an airline company and also enjoy doing personal shopping.
Who are you role models?
I have a lot of people, I look up to in the industry. Toyin Abraham her energy and zeal to work is amazing and also Viola  Devis, we all won’t deny the fact that she’s amazing and worth learning from.
 

I was raised by grandparents initially. I enjoy my grandpa giving me 20naira mint and I will buy 15naira bread from it. I can’t say I was born with a silver spoon but I know I was born with a spoon. 

How supportive were your parents when you ventured into entertainment?
My parent were not interested in the beginning, especially my dad. He wanted me to study law, I was called The law at home… When he saw my drive and passion for filmmaking, he had no option than to be very supportive and he has been significant since my first movie.
