The current Student Union Government (SUG) of Federal University Of Oye-Ekiti, led by Comrade Salahudeen Teslim Ayowale has clocked one year in office; the one year tenure was celebrated Yesterday.
In a view to accessing the Adminstration, Daily News Report had an interview with the life wire of the FUOYESU Government- Comrade Adedokun Abdul Qayyum Abolore, he is the Image Maker and Public Relation Officer of the Students' Union Government (SUG).
Taking us through his Political journey, Comrade Abdul said he was motivated by some individuals which propelled him to contest for Political Positions right from his 100 level days. "I was motivated by series of activities and also motivated by some individuals which made me to contest for my departmental PRO in my 100lv, which by the grace of God, I served for 2 consecutive times.
"I later contested for my Faculty PRO and emerged victorious.
"All these motivated me which made me to contest for the post of PRO at the apex union body in our school," he said.
The PRO also said his preelection season was not that easy for him because they were Three Students in total, that were vying for the position; but he said with the support of God and his total acceptance by the Students populace, he was able to emerge.
While telling us some of his performance as the Public Relation Officer, he said he was able to achieve some of his Campaign manifestos. In his words, "I promised the students to always give them a timely information which has been part of my culture and I have been discharging that also
"I had set up a Press organization which happens to be the control room of all information as far as FUOYE students constituency
"I have also been using my office to cater for the welfare of our members."
While stating some of the laudable achievements of their Adminstration as SUG during the one year tenure, he listed some of the key areas of their achievements, to include: Information sector, Academics, Infrastructure, Sports, Social Activities, Transportation, Health and welfare of their students. {Check below images for details}

The life wire however said it has not been easy so far in their Adminstration, coupled with the ongoing ASUU Strike.
"It has not been easy but with God and my Press members, even with this strike, we are still reaching out to our members.
"Sincerely, I want to use this medium to appreciate all my press members, with their aid, I have been able to achieve a lot.
"During this strike, I do ensure I make myself available in Oye, at least once in a month to attend to security issues and other issues that might be threatening the welfare of the Union Members.
"Constant engagement with them via our monthly press release has also been helpful during this strike but I always believe, it can always get better," he explained.
Reacting to the schedule of new election to usher in new executives, he said plans were ongoing before the strike crept in. He however said that the process will resume as soon as the strike is called off.
In his closing remarks, he said their Adminstration also come with some challenges, but they were still able to perform. He however gave compliments to his Co-Executive members and Friends for the support so far in moving the Administration forward. He charged the incoming Administration to take up from where they will stop their Administration.
"Well, I want everyone here to know that once you are elected Into a political post, your life is no more private but public life.
"There are numerous challenges, may be I need to inform you that we have almost 30,000 students in my school and even more than some local Government in this country, but it has been wonderful.
"The cooperation and support being received from our members is giving me all the morale I need not to be weighed down.
"And also, special regards to my Co Executives, most especially the President, Comrade Salahudeen Teslim Ayowale and the press Members too among other concerned stakeholders.
"Also, with the help of my friends and class mates who always give me the moral support, I am able to stand firm and see reasons to move on.
"It has not been easy but we have to keep moving.
"... to the next set of Executives, it is expected for them to continue from wherever we will stop and consolidate on the blueprint as Government is a continuous process," he added.
