Biography of Oyekunle Opeyemi Oluwaremi (Kunle Remi)

Oyekunle Opeyemi Oluwaremi popularly known as Kunle Remi was born on the 18th of October, 1988 in Gboko, Benue State, Nigeria. He is a Nigerian actor best known for his roles in movie titles like Falling Family, Forever and Tinsel. 

Oyekunle Oluwaremi hails from Ekiti State. He was born into the family of Engineer Joseph Ibukun Oluwaremi and Mrs S.O Oluwaremi. His father was an Engineer, and his mother, a school owner/administrator. The family of six children moved to Ibadan where Kunle Remi grew up and had most of his pre-tertiary education. He obtained his First School Leaving Certificate and West African School Certificate in Ibadan, Oyo State. Then, he proceeded to the prestigious University of Ibadan to study Fisheries and Wild Life Management. But he didnt complete his studies there because he decided to pursue a professional acting career. While at U.I, he gained admission to study Tourism and Hospitality Management at Sheffield University in the United Kingdom subsequently, he left Nigeria to the United Kingdom. 

Kunle was a youth drama leader in his Ibadan church and it was his exposure in acting that influenced his decision to become an actor. He was also involved in acting while in the University. In 2009, he had taken part in several soap operas and television shows across the country. He studied acting at the New York Film Academy, Los Angeles, and graduated in 2014. This was followed by a stint learning film making and direction from the same academy,and graduating in 2015. Remi is a Christian. He came into the limelight of acting professionally 2011 after winning the 7th edition of Gulder Ultimate Search in 2010. His first major role was in Heavy Beauty, produced by Grace Edwin Okon and directed by Stanlee Ohikhuare. Later, he starred in several films, TV series, and stage plays, including Lagos Cougars Reloaded, The Getaway, and Africa Magic's Forbidden. He has been featured in a number of Africa Magic Original Films.

While studying at the New York Film Academy, Remi worked as a TV host for an Internet TV channel, Celebville 360. His first appearance was reporting live at the Academy Awards nomination event in Beverly Hills, California. In 2021, he became the co-host (taskmaster) of Gulder Ultimate Search. Remi began his modelling career with ISIS models. He has since featured in ad campaigns for brands such as Airtel, MTN Nigeria, DSTV, and Diamond Bank.
