Biography of Jacinta Lotachukwu Ugwu (Lota Chukwu)

Jacinta Lotachukwu Ugwu, commonly called Lota Chukwu by many persons especially her fans, is a  talented Nigerian actress. Born on 29th November 1989 into the family of six (6), Lota Chukwu is the last child of her parents. She was given birth to in Nsukka, Enugu State, but raised in Edo State. According to her, she was her parents favourite child, especially her mom. They (her parents) tolerated alot from her while growing up, but that didn't make her to grow up as a stubborn  or arrogant child. Lota grew up in a Christian home, and of course, she believes in God.

She gained her elementary education in Edo State. She also holds a B.Sc in Agricultural Economics and Extension from the University of Benin, in Edo State Nigeria. With a burning passion for acting she proceeded to improve and develop herself more by joining a Film School in Lagos, Royal Arts Academy, where she had better training in her expertise.

Lota Chukwu started acting as early as 2009 although, she fully came to the limelight in 2014 when she acted in Funke Akindele's Jenifa's diary. This exposed Lota Chukwu to several juicy opportunities in the Nollywood movie industry. Before joining the Nollywood Industry full-time, Lota has been actively participating in Modelling.

 

Because of her great love for food, Lota Chukwu launched a food program tagged "Lota's Takes" about 5 years back. Lota's Takes is an interesting TV Food program, especially for persons who love food. The TV program has hosted stars like Tosin Ajibade and several others.

Aside her acting career, Lota is into blogging and also hosts lot of TV programmes. Lota is a passionate lover of Yoga. Yoga became her hobby when she needed to reduce fats from her body.

Lota Chukwu is currently unmarried, but she's in a relationship, although her boyfriend remains anonymous to the public and even her fans. Contrary to widespread opinion, Lota Chukwu currently has no children and she's not a single mother.

Lota has gotten a lot of awards many times, such as, " The most beautiful girl in Nigeria" that was in the year 2011. As well as several nominations too. In 2016, she was nominated for the Scream All Youths Awards - Film Revelation of the Year (Female Category) while in 2017, she was nominated in the City People Entertainment Awards as the Best New Female Actress of the Year (English Category).
