THE RESOLUTION OF THE CONGRESS OF THE LAW STUDENTS SOCIETY,OBAFEMI AWOLOWO UNIVERSITY ILE-IFE, HELD ON THE 9TH OF NOVEMBER, 2017.

Sequel to the provisions of Section 15(1) of the constitution of the Law Students Society, “the congress shall have the final say in all matters relating to the society in line with the provisions of the constitution” bearing in mind also the provisions of section 15(6) which provides that “all congressional decisions shall be by simple majority vote provided that at a time a quorum is formed in accordance with the constitution”.

The congress thus, after series of intellectual and constitutional fireworks, motions and counter motions hereby make the following congressional resolutions;

1. That for the progress and development of the society, the congress hereby approves the appointment of Mr. Okeke Christian as Chairman, Miss Clementina Uzogor as deputy chairman, and Mr. Tayo Opatayo as Secrertary of the 2017 law week.

2. That there shall be a Panel of Inquiry and investigation which shall be saddled with the responsibility of summoning any member of the society, inquiring and investigating the “controversial LSRC Conference” and shall within 7days  submit its  reports to the congress.

3. That the Audit committee shall audit the LSRC conference and submit copies of audit reports/ findings to the Ad hoc panel of inquiry and Investigation so as to aid the panel to carry out its investigations.

4  That the panel shall present all income, expenditure, and any other revelation incidental to the duty of the ad hoc committee alongside its recommendation for the consideration by the next congress of the society.

5.That congressman Afolabi Abass Kayode, Congressman Adebiyi Tolu, congressman Koye-Ladele Mofeyintoluwa, Congressman Fashoyin Adebiyi and Congressman Binzak shall serve as members of the panel of enquiry and determine the all the internal activities of the panel.
