It gives us great pleasure to join our hearts with the thousands that have welcomed you into this great citadel of learning. Indeed, becoming a student of this university is no small feat, becoming a law student, an even greater exploit. Out of the many thousands that were called, you are the chosen few! Truly, congratulations are in order!

Your academic journey to becoming the next big thing in the legal world has just begun. Our earnest desire is that you have a smooth sail devoid of itches and obstacles. We see you as the next Justices of the Supreme Court, Senior Advocates of Nigeria, Captains of Industry, to mention but a few. There might be challenges on the way but by God, you shall overcome!

Penultimately, while it is our wish that you prosper on your road to greatness, we charge you to invest your time and your life to the assignment before you. Bear in mind that hard work truly pays. Take the bull by the horn and fight to the very end! 

Alluding to the words of one of Nigeria's greatest writers and philosophers, Chinua Achebe who so poignantly quipped, "...a man is the master of his own destiny, by his own hands he can either make it or mar it". Your destiny is in your own hands, friends.
