Chief Jimoh Ibrahim is a renowned lawyer, politician, philanthropist, business mogul and investor. He was born on the 24th of February,1967 in Ondo State at Igbotako community, Okitipupa Local Government to Alhaji Yakubu and Omofehinwa Jimoh (his parents). He is married to Mrs Modupe Jimoh and they are blessed with four children.His educational background is a very impressive one. He obtained his primary and secondary education at the Saint John’s School, Igbotako Ondo state. He studied Law at Obafemi Awolowo University, Osun state and went further to obtain his Masters in Public Administration at Obafemi Awolowo University as well. He also attended the Harvard University, Boston, Massachusetts, United State of America where he graduated with a combined masters degree in Law and International taxation. Recently, he has also obtained a first class Phd honors in Management Science at the University of Cambridge, England. He has also received several honorary doctorate degrees from Obafemi Awolowo University, Covenant University, Ladoke Akintola University and Ogun State University.
He is a Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Global Fleet Group which is a diversified conglomerate with several subsidiary companies. One of its popular subsidiaries is Virgin Nigeria now known as Air Nigeria. Others are: Global fleet oil & gas, Global fleet building, Nicon Insurance, Nicon luxury hotel, Energy bank Ghana, Energy bank São Tomé& Principe which is formerly known as Oceanic bank, New Watch Magazine, Nigeria Reinsurance Corporation. His business investments include : oil&gas, hotels& resorts, airlines, banking, real estate, Insurance, publishing and media industry.He has worked with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as a tax professional and was also part of the Harvard team that backed the tax reforms in Bangladesh. He was also a consultant on taxation to the military regime of the late General Sanni Abacha. He was appointed Chairman of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) from April 2009- December 2012. He was honored as the Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR) and Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR).
He is an author of 3 books whereby one of them is titled: Indigenous Governance in Nigeria.

He is also a politically ambitious man. He contested for the Ondo State gubernatorial elections in 2002 under the platform of All Nigeria People’s Party(ANPP), which he then lost to Chief Agagu. In 2016 again, he contested for the Ondo State gubernatorial election under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) but lost to Rotimi Akeredolu. Currently, he has declared his intention and picked up a form under the All People’s Congress (APC) to run as a Senator for the Ondo South Senatorial district.
Despite being raised by a father who worked as a bricklayer and a mother who is a local trader, Mr Jimoh Ibrahim has evolved into becoming one of the successful people in Nigeria. He is a well known multi millionaire, though he has been faced with several controversies in recent times but his success and impacts will forever remain an inspiration.
