Some supporters of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, on Saturday held a rally at Unity Fountain, Abuja. Our correspondent who monitored the event reports that the Rally is still ongoing.
Since Peter Obi joined the presidential race, there has been significant increase in Youths participation in Politics, to include increase in PVC Registration and collection, Rallies and Community engagement.
Peter Obi's supporters have been holding rallies at different locations in Nigeria in recent weeks, including the Lagos rally slated for 1st of October.
Peter Obi was a former member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and a former Vice Presidential Candidate in 2015 general Election. He however crossed to the Labour Party to pursue his Presidential ambition.
Since his move into the LP, many Youths have be holding a solidarity rally for him, many say the 2023 Election could be called- Youth O' Clock. Obi's supporters are called ", OBIDIENTS".
With the recent happenings in the Labour Party, Peter Obi is no doubt one of the biggest contenders in the 2023 Presidential Election.
