Everything You Need to Know About NYSC Redeployment and PPA Reposting

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is a program set up by the government to involve graduates in nation-building and the development of the country. With this, graduates of universities and later Polytechnics have been required to take part in the National Youth Service Corps program for one year.

The core value of NYSC is service and humility. There's strength in humility. Power in tolerating the views, way of life, and behavior of different tribes. Power in adapting to the tradition, meals, language, and environment of one other tribe, state, or individuals different from yours. There's power in influencing younger minds to step into their light and maximize their potential. Sure! We're called to service, to dwell for the sunshine of others, to lay down our lives for them. Not necessarily by going to the cross, but by experiencing personal sacrifices. Connections are made, and love is shared. That's the fact.

The scheme is an avenue for the reconciliation, reconstruction, and rebuilding of the nation after the end of the Civil War. The purpose of the scheme is primarily to inculcate in Nigeria Youths the spirit of Selfless Service to the nation and to emphasize the spirit of Oneness and brotherhood of all Nigerians, irrespective of cultural background.

To achieve this Objective, Corps Members are deployed to States other than their State of Origin where they are expected to mix with people from other ethnic groups, and social and family backgrounds, to learn the Culture of the people in the State of deployment. The Scheme is for one year. This is known as National Service Year. The incumbent Director-General is Brigadier General Muhammed Fada.

STAGES IN NYSC

i. Mobilization of NYSC

Guidelines for Mobilization of Graduates into National Service

As part of efforts aimed at ensuring that only eligible graduates who pass through duly accredited full-time courses are mobilized for participation in the National Youth Service Corps, the NYSC Management is collaborating with relevant regulatory bodies of the respective Corps Producing Institutions (CPIs) – the National Universities Commission (NUC) for Universities and degree awarding institutions and the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) for Mono/Polytechnics as well as the entry admission examination body – Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

Accordingly, the data of all prospective corps members as submitted for mobilization by their respective institutions, are subjected to screening for conformity with the requirements of these regulatory/examination bodies. In this regard, all prospective corps members whose admissions are not known to JAMB will be deemed to be improperly admitted. The admission status of such students will require the affected CPIs to regularise the same with JAMB.

Similarly, all Corps Producing Institutions (CPIs) have been advised to abide by the extant admission quota approved by the NUC and NBTE respectively in making submissions for mobilization. Any submission over quotas approved will not be accepted. Graduates of courses not duly accredited by these regulatory bodies will not be mobilized for service.

It should be stated, for emphasis, that the regularization of admissions with JAMB is the duty of the Corps Producing Institutions (CPIs), just as the confirmation of the approved admission quota for each course and the determination of their accreditation status is the prerogative of the regulatory bodies – NUC and NBTE

It is imperative to state that the NYSC will not act as a liaison office between the Corps Producing Institutions (CPIs) and these regulatory/examination bodies. This much had earlier been brought to the notice of CPIs at the last Pre-Mobilization Workshop held in Ilorin, Kwara State on Thursday 16th January 2013. Corps Producing Institutions that are unable to conclude the regularization exercise during the 2013 Batch 'A' service year could still be considered in subsequent Batches when the outstanding issues would have been resolved by the institution.

It has become expedient to bring this information to the attention of the general public for necessary guidance.

The Orientation Camp

The necessary arrangements for a successful registration and camp experience must have been put in place by the NYSC authorities before the arrival of the corps members. Different registration points are organized to take you through the various stages of registration and during which corps members are expected to corporate with the registration officials and to be patient with the process. The NYSC officials are there to guide and direct you on anything you may not understand and to train you. So, whenever you are confused about anything, feel free to ask them any question you may want to ask.

See items you'll need in NYSC Orientation Camp

Consider the camp a small town as all the facilities you will need are made available there. When you need to buy anything, you visit the mini-market. When things begin to get a little daisy with your health, there is a clinic available for you to visit. There is the provision of accommodation, bed/mattresses, food, water, and kitting for corps members. And, just in passing, those facilities are also at the disposal of the officials to use.

Things to note about Registration

During the registration process, the following documents will be requested from you by the registration officials:

i. Your call-up letter (please do not laminate this document)

ii. Your last institution's ID card

iii. Original certificates/statement of result

When the above-mentioned document has been screened, the following will be given to you:

i. State code number (just for you and not to be shared)

ii. A meal ticket (or meal card)

iii. A file in which you can put all your credentials

iv. Registration of your name in what is referred to as the "Book of Life"

The NYSC officials will supervise you in filling out the series of NYSC forms.

You must be careful to read every instruction in every form, booklet, or handout given to you before filling them. This is not a product privacy policy that you have no choice but to accept. Preferably, use capital letters in filling your forms for legibility purpose and make sure the information you provide on your forms are correct so they don't contradict each other. All addresses provided must contain the house number, name of street, town name, and possibly the post office number.

Also, try and display some level of maturity and self-component by waiting for your turn to get anything. What I'm saying in essence is queue up, please don't scramble for anything.

Concerning meal tickets

Immediately after you are cleared from the screening point, you'll be given your meal ticket. This ticket will allow feed during your stay at the orientation camp alone and not outside. Take good care of it as you may not eat from the camp if it gets missing and neither can you get it from someone else to eat as this card is not transferable and replaceable.

Concerning accommodation at the camp

Every corps member is given a mattress and a place after they have completed their registration, hence the need to arrive on time. No one is permitted to use two mattresses or move his/her mattress to another room nor use up to two-bed spaces. No one is also allowed to call in for room services because of the risks involved regarding your valuables. Everywhere should be kept as clean as possible, including the rooms and restrooms (toilet).

Concerning Orientation Broadcasting Services (OBS)

This is a service that disseminates information throughout the camp. This enhances the quick and easy flow of information and this service is managed by the public relations committee. Corps members that possess the skill in or love engineering and broadcasting are chosen to join the OBS committee.

Concerning Religious Activities at Orientation Camps

Religious activities on camp are conducted according to the guidelines contained in the constitution. Therefore, based on that, the NYSC acknowledges Sundays for Christian worship and Fridays for Muslims, and nothing more. This makes it obvious that no other program is paramount in the orientation camp than the camp activities.

Lectures/Language Studies

Camp lectures are meant to equip corps members with the adequate knowledge needed for the mission ahead, hence, it is mandatory. Giving your time for the several lectures is never a waste of time as the lectures are always enriched with the necessary information you need.

In addition to the lectures, language studies are organized to equip corps members with the basics of the language of the host state to enhance their communication with the residents of the state after their orientation camp courses.

Concerning Discipline/Security

Priority is placed on discipline, hence the existence of the military on camp. Therefore, every corps member is to conduct his/herself in the best possible manner and by this, we mean to stick to the rules. Any corps member who trespasses any rule and is caught will be disciplined as decided by the Orientation Camp Court. Nothing should be done without due permission from the appropriate authorities. Also, everyone is expected to be security-conscious and report any doubtful act or movement to the police or any official on camp.

Most importantly, corps members should try as much as possible to be kitted accordingly, for example, endeavor that kitting for the parade is to parade and that for another program is to such program.

Concerning Medical Services

All medical cases are being handled by the camp clinic which runs for 24 hours during the orientation exercise and all treatments are administered for free. The clinic is managed by professional medical practitioners.

Accounts Department/Corps Allowances

The accounting department takes care of coppers allowances. Allowances given on camp include:

i. Transport allowance (this is paid on arrival at the camp)

ii. Local transport is also known as bicycle allowance

iii. Monthly allowance: this is the last allowance given to corps members at the end of their orientation course.

Corps members continue to receive monthly receive their monthly allowance after the orientation camp, but this is granted to them after they have been duly cleared by their employer at the end of every month and issued a clearance. Any corps member who is not cleared will have to forfeit his allowance for that month

Kitting/Mode of Dressing of the NYSC Orientation Camp

The public relations officer issues every corps member on completion of their registration at arrival at camp with the NYSC identity card. This card is legal and not transferable. The NYSC Store Officer also gives the NYSC kit items to corps members. The kit items are to be worn only by registered corps members and these items are:
  • 2 Plain White Vests
  • 1 Youth Corps Unisex cap (Head Dress)
  • 1 Khaki Jacket
  • 1 Khaki Trouser

  • 1 Pair of White Canvas (Tennis) Shoe
  • 2 Pairs of socks
Once the kit is given, all modes of dressing should be done accordingly for easy identification of corps members and outsiders for security purposes.

Camp Activities

Camp activities are carried out with discipline to time and rules and every corps member is expected to comply for a smooth and successful orientation camp experience. Some of the activities are:

i. Military parade/drills

ii. Man O War activities

iii. Lectures

iv. Social activities

v. Endurance trek

As earlier said, the orientation camp operates with a lot of rules which are:

Four (4) Main Segment of NYSC

National Youth Service Year is a year of reality that can be an instrument for discovering goals, self-discovery, and private development. In those dry and boring days at the remote Places of Primary Assignment, one may make the most of such quiet time to plan for the future, read books, and take a professional course towards career development, it might be a time of spiritual renewing.

The National Youth Service Corps Year comprises four (4) main segments in other words four (4) cardinal programs in which every corps member must satisfactorily participate before he/she is qualified to be issued a certificate of National Service.

The four Cardinal Programs of the National Youth Service Corps are as follows: Orientation Courses, Primary Place of Assignment, Community Development Service, and Winding Up and Passing Out Ceremony.

i. Orientation Course

The Orientation course is a Compulsory course for all Nigerian graduates mobilized for National Service. The course is a three weeks course at the beginning of the Service year. lt features parade drills lectures, physical training, etc.

The Orientation course is usually opening with a Swearing-in Ceremony presided over by the Executive Governor of the State of deployment. The Oath of Allegiance and the National Pledge is administered by the Chief Judge of the State.

During the orientation course, Corps Members are expected to participate in the social activities designed to create opportunities for them to interact during the orientation course. They participate in Dance and Drama Competitions, Miss NYSC and Mr. Macho, lnter-platoon drill competition, Football Match, Volleyball, Table tennis, Cooking, and Sanitation Competitions, Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED), etc. Corps Members also undergo Man 'O' War Citizenship and Leadership training.

2. Place of Primary Assignment (PPA):

After the passing out ceremony at the end of the three weeks orientation course, Corps members are posted to the Place of Primary Assignment (PPA) They are expected to work as full-time staff at the place of primary Assignment with exception of one working day set aside for the Execution of Community Development Service (CDS).

During the posting of Corps members, NYSC Management takes into consideration the areas of specialization of Corps members in carrying out posting exercises, emphasis is placed on rural areas. Corps members are posted to the following sectors: Agriculture, Education, Health, and Infrastructure.

3. Community Development Service (CDS): The Community Development Service is aimed at harnessing the skills, creativity, and innovativeness of Corps members. Corps members are expected to identify the various needs of their host communities and mobilize members of their host communities to embark on the projects to address the needs of the Community.

Through the Community Development Service, many Corps members were able to construct Bridges, Health Care Centers, Classroom Blocks, etc. They also embark on projects like HIV Sensitization, Extra-Mural Classes for Students, Road Safety Campaigns, etc.

4. Winding Up and Passing Out Ceremony: At the end of the Service year, Corps members are expected to gather in their respective zone for evaluation of the Service year.

This is the period when Corps members present their final clearance letters from their employers to their Zonal and Local Government Inspectors (LGI). Final parade rehearsals are conducted in the readiness for the passing out Ceremony which is usually presided over by the Executive Governor of the State of deployment.

During the Ceremony, Corps members with outstanding performance during their Service years are given State Honours Award. For a Corps member to Merit an Award, he/ she must be performed meritoriously in the Orientation Course, Place of Primary Assignment, Community Development Service, and the Winding Up Exercise.

Why Serve in Ebonyi?

Different Corp Members who serve in Ebonyi State have different reasons to serve in Ebonyi State. These opinions are based on different perspectives of Corp Members in Ebonyi State.

Some corps members in Ebonyi State decided to serve in Ebonyi State because of the Lord's leading; God has brought them to Ebonyi State for a purpose.

For some Corp Members, this is an opportunity for individuals who reside in the Western and Northern parts of Nigeria to visit the Eastern Part of Nigeria as they know their culture, economy, and food.

Another perspective is having a good mindset of being in Ebonyi State; as one sees the good of the land, open your heart and mind to opportunities in the state and fortunately, one can be established in the state. Here, you don't limit opportunities to only a few states; Lagos, and Abuja. Don't be biased and dominate the state you're posted to.

Another perspective is using this opportunity to do your great commission; called by God to evangelize Jesus Christ in your PPA. See the state as land for you to conquer as a Child of God. Some Corp Members decided to stay in Ebonyi State for business purposes. In other words, Ebonyi is seen as one of the newly added states in the country, Nigeria in which its economy is at its peak of increase, and the cost of living isn't expensive, unlike other developed states. With this, goods are sold a bit cheap and fast as there's a low level of competition

After a successful twenty one days camp training experience

Relocation and PPA to help and guide you.

Let's start from PPA.

You are likely to be given your PPA by hand not necessarily on your portal. Some will feel Sad while some will rejoice( don't rejoice yet till you are  accepted, some will still be rejected).

As soon as you leave camp, you are expected to report to your PPA for either acceptance or rejection. It's better to report to your PPA first to know your fate rather than traveling.(essp most posted to ministry, private firm etc. It might be too late when you comes back, might replace or reject you).

If you are accepted in your PPA, you simply need to head straight to your LG area for documentation or you might come back to do that. On the other hand, if you are rejected, simply inform your LGI(local government inspector) about it, he or she will assigned you to another PPA . Don't gives yourself stress you can come back after your holiday.

Don't fall SCAM of changing of PPA, I know you might not like your PPA, better still talk to your LGI or contact a sure plug you know( U can Contact us the admins)

Relocation

If you applied for relocation via a valid medical report or any other legitimate reason and you are given *PPA letter in camp*, just know that it's *likely* your relocation didn't work out. (not all situation). Every successful relocation will be displayed on your dashboard. After you login, you click on relocation icon then it's appears, you will have to make payment  of #1000 before you can access the state you are relocated to.

At this point, it is important to mention that every corp member must be careful of who you share your login details with to help you check, there will be traffic on the site though.

πŸ“ŒAll relocations will be uploaded at same time.

πŸ“ŒIf you relocation worked out, don't ignore it till when you get home you will print it. Instead, pay up and  download the pdf on your phone instantly.( You might wake up the following morning and not see relocation letter again🀣🀣, probably cancelled or some glitch).

πŸ“Œ If your relocation didn't worked out or still wish to relocate you can contact .*Out camp relocation is available* fast approval

πŸ“ŒThese are moment scammers take advantage of corpers since their relocation didn't worked out. you will see some fake screenshot, testimony etc.

Be guilded. Once again we congratulate you all for the success of the training. We wish you all journey mercy to your destinations.

For those that redeployed, the NYSC state secretariat in your relocated state is where you will take your redeployment approval letter to. Have posted the address of all states secretariat earlier. You don't need to wait for any text or email, visit the NYSC state secretariat and begin your redeployment clearances from on Tuesday. You can't enter the secretariat gate without been on NYSC KIT. You can be on full 7/7 Or You can be on 6/7 You can where white sneakers or jungle boot You can wear crested shirt or plain white. Your first day is to just submit your approval letter, the one you printed showing approval successful. Once submitted they will give you a date to come back, b4 that day, your state code would have changed to your redeployed state's state code. After submitting the approval letter, if you are lucky your state code will change after 1 or 2 days, if not it will be the 3,4,5, or 6th day, the maximum day for state code to change is 7days after submission of approval letter. You will return to the secretariat after your state code changes. This is when registration starts proper. You will be given a white file, inside you will see a biodata form, fill it, ur olevel grades will be needed. You will put your green card, call up letter etc. Before submitting the file back, you must have gone to write your name in the book of life Drop your account number at the account session Snap passport with crested shirt. After these you can submit the file, a day after submission you will posted to your PPA. But if your have a company that you know they usually collect and pay corpers, go there and collect request letter, *don't submit the file without putting request letter (this is for those who want to dictate their PPA)* because once you submit dey will post you anywhere. If the required documents to be affixed inside the file isn't complete, you can take the file home and bring it back whenever you are ready. It's possible to finish all the file filling and registrations in a day if you are smart, but it's exhausting, the crowd is always mad. So for all your relocation clearances, just budget 1week that's if you are lucky or you know ur way πŸ’΅ cud be 2 days, but if not you might use 2weeks on clearance. *Note* that the procedures of doing clearance are slightly different across the states. Some state, you are not going and coming back to the state secretariat, you will do all at once and go home. Keep checking your dashboard, Within a week, your state code will change and PPA letter will appear on your dashboard. Also the documents needed at the secretariat sometimes are slightly different too, to be on a safer side, go with all the documents you went to camp with ➕ the relocation approval letter you printed from your dashboard.

Conclusion

Educate others by Sharing to all NYSC platforms, πŸŽ“Educational groups, and πŸ“‘Informative groups. πŸ•΅️‍♂️*

National Youth Service Corps

NYSC UPDATE FOR BATCH πŸ…°️ 2023*

*IMPORTANT NOTE TO ALL PCMS‼️*

As the NYSC 2023 Batch πŸ…°️ Stream 2 mobilization and registration is fast approaching, Admin is going to enlighten PCMs on all they need to know about the NYSC graduation list and the NYSC senate list including the difference between these two (2) NYSC lists.

Also in the post I will be throwing more light on the JAMB matriculation list and its relationship with the NYSC Senate & graduation list. The post will be based on some of the major questions asked by PCMs as regards to these important NYSC lists.

*✅WHAT IS NYSC SENATE LIST?*

The NYSC Senate list is a register which has the complete names of candidates eligible for the NYSC programme. Its a record which contains names of students who are already fully mobilized by the National Youth Service Corps to undergo the mandatory one-year service in Nigeria.

*HOW DOES THE NYSC SENATE LIST WORK?*

First and foremost every recognized educational institution (Universities, Polytechnics, e.t.c) will have to compile the names of their eligible candidates/students they believe is suitable to go for service. The names compiled are those who have done all the necessary clearance from the school and successfully graduated.

These names would be first pasted on any of the school's notice board to enable students correct any mistake in their details (a process known as internal mobilization). All necessary corrections are to be done within days or weeks before the school finally decides to send the compiled student names and details to NYSC headquarters in Abuja for uploading. NYSC as a body would in turn verify all names and data of students sent to them to know if each candidate is suitable for service before finally uploading the institution names and data to the NYSC portal.

These details uploaded to the NYSC portal is known as the NYSC Senate list and it contains major details of a PCM. Be aware that any correction that is not done before a candidate's name is uploaded online will only be done after registration or in camp depending on which error to be corrected.

However, Once uploading of names into the NYSC senate list commences, prospective corp members are usually informed to know when to start checking their names.

*✅WHY DO I SEE "NO RECORD FOUND" WHEN I CHECK MY NAME ON THE NYSC SENATE LIST?*

First of all one has to be sure that NYSC has started to upload its senate list before panicking when this type of notification is seen. The issue of NO RECORD FOUND is as a result of your school not submitting the hardcopy senate list to NYSC, once such is done the notification of the NO RECORD will disappear. In other words to stop seeing such, one's institution must ensure that they submit the hardcopy of their senate list to NYSC Headquarters in Abuja. Be aware that NYSC has not started uploading names for 2023 Batch πŸ…°️ Stream 2 PCMs so if you check at the moment you are likely to see nothing. A date will be conveyed to all 2023 Batch πŸ…°️ Stream 2 Prospective Corp Members on when to start checking their names on the senate list. so make sure you're connected on whatsapp group to get updated..

*✅HOW DO I CHECK IF MY NAME IS ON THE NYSC SENATE LIST?*

This is not difficult at all. To check your name on the NYSC Senste list, simply visit

https://portal.nysc.org.ng/nysc2/VerifySenateLists.aspx

and fill in the required parameters which include;

- Selection of your institution.

- your matriculation number.

- fill in your surname.

- your date of birth.

- & Finally, click search.

WHAT IS NYSC GRADUATION LIST?

This is almost like the senate list but in this case it contains the names of all students that graduated from various universities in Nigeria, that is to say students that have succesfully cleared from their respective schools and are ready for the NYSC programme.

Note that the names of candidates found in the NYSC graduation list are not necessarily those who will go for service, in other words a PCM can find his/her name in the NYSC graduation list but still not find their name in the NYSC senate list so as discussed before, the senate list is the final hurdle that determines if a PCM is cleared to register online or not for NYSC and further go for service.

How to Check your NAME ON THE NYSC GRADUATION LIST*

To check and verify your name on the National Youth Service Corp graduation list simply visit

 https://portal.nysc.org.ng/nysc1/CheckInstitutionCoursesPCMs.aspx

What is the JAMB Matriculation List?

The JAMB matriculation list is a record which contains major details of all students who have successfully fulfilled all requirements from JAMB i.e, they have been cleared by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board. Remember that NYSC obtain some details of PCMs from JAMB and WAEC so the matriculation list assists in this. If the details found by a PCM in the matriculation list is not correct, they are required to correct it before the Senate list is uploaded.

Most of the corrections done on the JAMB matriculation list is processed by means of JAMB regularization.

If a PCM discovers that his/her name is not on the JAMB matriculation list, all they have to do is visit the JAMB portal, login, then print out their JAMB Admission Letter and Result Slip. After printing, they have to verify both documents with the admission officer in their institution after which their name will automatically be found on the JAMB matric list.

To check if your name is on the matric list simply visit: https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility/checkmatriculationlist

*Now i believe you should know all about the NYSC Senate, Graduation and Matriculation list.

5 Reasons Why you might miss 2023 NYSC Batch Posting This is an important notification for prospective Corp members (PCMs) as to the possible reasons might make you to miss the next NYSC Batch πŸ…°️* 1. Your Institution This is not even a thing to bargain with because it's as important as it sounds. There is no way you can go for service if your institution fail to clear you. You have to make sure you don't have any carry-overs or other issues with your institution. Also, make sure you fill the NYSC mobilization form. Some higher institutions require graduates of their school to fill the form at the Department of Students' Affairs. Not all schools do this, but you should just confirm to be on a safe side. 2. JAMB Regularization It's now JAMB Late Application but was formerly referred to as *Regularization*. This provides an opportunity for candidates that are in any institution but with no JAMB Registration Number to regulate between Jamb and your institution. Therefore, if you do not have JAMB Registration Number or if your Admission is not directly from JAMB, your name will not be on the NYSC mobilization list. 3. *You Are 30 Years Old* I am sure you already know that once you are 30 of age before graduating from your institution, you cannot go for NYSC service. Your exemption letter which is a letter that will tell you that the NYSC has given you a permission to move on will be on your dashboard. If you are already 30 before you graduate from your institution, you won't be spending the next 12 months in a strange land. You can go ahead and apply for a job or start your business or do anything you want with your exemption letter. 4. *Statement of Result* If you are already a graduate of any institution and you don't have your certificate or statement of result at hand, you will not be able to go for NYSC service. The statement of your Result is very important in NYSC and if you don't have it, you will not be allowed to stay in the NYSC orientation camp. 5. *Your Village People:* If you don't have any issue with all we highlighted above, you will definitely go for service unless if your village people are following you around.

Reasons Why PCMs are not Registered at NYSC Orientation Camp

Upon arrival at the NYSC Orientation Camps across Nigeria, Prospective Corp Members will not be registered in camp if there is disparity in the following;

1. The name on the Statement of Result and that of the dashboard.

If the name on your certificate is correct, but dashboard is wrong, use the link on your dashboard to apply for name correction. However, if the name on your certificate is wrong, contact your school.
If both certificate and dashboard is wrong, apply for correction on your dashboard and also visit your school.
2 names on the dashboard and 3 names on certificate is wrong, abbreviation on either dashboard or certificate is also wrong.
Do the needful.

❌ The date of graduation on the Statement of Result and that of the dashboard.

✅ Contact your Student Affairs Officer (SAO) for your date of graduation.

❌ The passport on your dashboard is not yours.

✅ Because of the crowd that want to get registered at the cafe, the cafΓ©man usually mix details up. To correct wrong passport uploaded, visit the ICT center at the NYSC state secretariat.

❌ Wrongly uploaded Thumb πŸ‘ Print

✅ At the orientation camp, you will be generated a state code, which is your NYSC identity number. The state code legitimately makes you a bonafide corp member of a particular state.
You will get the state code immediately your thumb is verified at the camp.
If you were wrongly thumb printed while registering at the cafe, the biometric scanner at the camp won't capture and generate a state code for you.
So if you know it was wrongly done at the cafe level, visit the NYSC state secretariat now for recapturing.

3. No Medical Fitness Report

Your fitness medical report is as important as your school certificate at the camp. Some camp will ask for it at the camp gate before entry.
No matter who you are or who you know, you can never be registered without the fitness medical report.
It's a must have for *ALL* PCMs.
The signature on the report must also not be scanned.
If you have not gotten yours, chat me up now.

Conclusion

Generally, as a prospective Corp member, ensure you are physically present during your Online Registration. This is because most problems encountered by PCMs are caused when Cyber Cafe operators registered on their behalf, while they are absent.

*4️⃣πŸ’΅ You will Pay N3,000 to NYSC online,1500 to 3000 for cafe service charge depending on your location.

You have two options as regarding printing your Call-up letter. You can either pay N3,000 to 6000 and print it on your dashboard or don't pay and go to your institution to collect it. My advice for you is to pay because your schools will still collect money from you.

NYSC Call-up Letters

After NYSC Registration, the next thing is the call-up letter. This is simply a letter that will show you your state of deployment and other important things you should know.

If you have paid the N3,000 to 6000, you will be able to print your call-up letter on your dashboard some day's to camp opening date.

Orientation Camp And SAED

The orientation camp is one of the best moments of NYSC where you will be with thousands of prospective Corps members for a period of 3 weeks. There are lots of programmes that will make you fall in love and want to stay more.

Orientation camp is really fun and a very memorable time most people will never forget. After 3 weeks, you will then again be deployed to your place of primary assignment.

*🦺🧡🧰 SAED

Skill Acquisitions and Entrepreneurship Development is another of the most amazing thing about the orientation camp. This is also regarded as the most boring moments in NYSC Camp because of the long lectures you will receive before going to your different field to acquire skills.

Most people who pay attention to SAED are always thankful they did. You find an area of interest, you then shoot for it by attending the classes. Believe me, you will never regret taking it seriously.

Place of Primary Assignment

On the last day in camp, you will collect a letter that will specify the particular place where you will do your service for the next 11 months. The place of the primary assignment might be a Ministry, a private firm, an organization or even a religious office. But about 80% will serve in some secondary school.

If you don't like your PPA, you can change it or find a new one. The company might even reject you based on reasons known to them. No matter what, you will still get a PPA. Most PPA will provide accommodation and a token at the end of the month while some will leave you to God.

NYSC Allawee

The current NYSC Allowance N33,000. This amount will be paid into your bank account every month throughout your service year. During your stay at the orientation camp, you will open a new bank account and that is where the NYSC Allowee will be paid into. It always comes about 2-3 days before the end of the end of the month and sometimes, it comes late. Also note that you will collect the first Allowee before leaving the orientation camp.

CDS Group and Monthly Clearance

Community Development Service (CDS) is another unique feature of the National Youth Service Corps Unique. The NYSC officials will split every Corps members into different CDS Groups which are required to meet once in a week. The CDS is very important as you cannot do your clearance if you did not participate in your CDS group. Your CDS Group will do a project and constantly be meeting to see how to do something worthy for the community.

✔️ *Clearance*
The NYSC clearance is an exercise that takes place at the end of every month. If you miss a clearance, you will not collect your Allowee for the month and that is automatically an extension.

The date for the clearance is always different and it depends on your Local Government schedule. Your CLO will always relay the news about the date to you. You can miss many things in NYSC, but never miss a clearance.

Passing Out Parade

The last ceremony of NYSC Scheme is the passing out parade. The moment you will say goodbye to the NYSC allowance and your PPA to move on with your life. The passing out parade is always on a low key whereby you will go to your Local Government and collect your NYSC certificate. It's always a day to look out for.

Biography of Chief Olayide Owolabi Adelami (mni)

Chief Olayide Owolabi Adelami, mni hails from Owo, Ondo state. He was born over 6 decades ago to the family of Oluka Oribokun by Pa and Mrs Amos Adelami. Adelami graduated from the prestigious Imade College in Owo before proceeding to The Polytechnic, Ibadan for his GCE A level and University of Lagos for his Bachelors of Science in Business Administration. He further got an MBA degree from Ogun State University. CAREER After the completion of the mandatory one year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in June 1983, young Adelami was enlisted into Federal Civil Service as an Accountant II in December, 1983. He resumed to the Treasury Department of the Accountant General of the Federation office and in 1988 he was later posted to the National Assembly Provisional Office, Abuja as one of the pioneer staff of the Constituent Assembly which metamorphosed into the present day National Assembly. In the discharge of his duty, Adelami had the singular privilege of setting up the Finance and Accounts Department of the National Assembly as we have come to know it. In 1996, he was invited to help in setting up the Accounts Department of the Petroleum Special Trust Fund. After completion of this tasks, he was also beckoned to serve at the Family Support Trust Fund where, again, he helped set up the Finance and Accounts Department. He headed these departments between 1996 and 2000. It is mention-worthy that the project of National Hospital, Abuja was executed and delivered during Adelami's service period. His sterling performances, years of experience and reputation as an astute manager of resources with enviable integrity saw Adelami being recalled to the National Assembly in 2000 to strengthen the Finance Department. Three years later, he was made the Head of the Finance and Accounts Department. He remained in this position till 2007 when he was confirmed as a Director. The following year, he was nominated for a one year senior management course at the prestigious National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos.

After the completion of his course at the Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies in 2008, he was assigned a bigger task of pioneering the newly created Department of Procurement and Supplies. Without a single trained staff in procurement processes, Adelami who relishes challenges embarked on the rigorous process of staff training and nurtured the department to an enviable position.

In 2014, he was promoted to the position of Secretary (Permanent Secretary), Directorate of Procurement, Estate and Works. A position he held until he was appointed as the Deputy Clerk to the National Assembly. He remained the Deputy Clerk to the National Assembly until his retirement in April 2018. It is worthy of note that Chief Olayide Adelami during his illustrious career used his goodwill and personal influence to attract physical development and impart the lives of Owo community and beyond. His political journey began shortly after his retirement when he was appointed by the presidency as the Coordinator, Presidential Support Committee, Ondo state, whose mandate was to reconcile aggrieved APC members, as well as coordinate the activities of the various support groups across the state for the president's reelection. He worked assiduously against all odds to deliver massive votes for the APC across the state and also ensured the return of the only APC senator in the state from his senatorial district.
