On Tuesday, a second row of accusations of government corruption broke out in Malaysia following a former Tengku Abdul Aziz Finance Minister requesting that the administration of Eng comply with government contracts inappropriately.
"I dare him reveal something to the Rakyat (Parliament of Malaysia) to evaluate/compare which company has successfully received an invitation to tender, which company has received the tender and which minister applied for projects via direct negotiations."
On Monday before Parliament, Mr Aziz made the allegations that the contracts are worth Ringgit (or 1,58 billion dollars) worth 6,61 billion.
In March after the collapse of the Pakatan Harapan (Hope Alliance) alliance, Mahathir Mohamad resigned as prime minister, he took over as Malaysian finance minister.
Since then, Mr Eng, Minister of Finance of Mahathir, has been charged with corrupting the construction, from Penang Island to Malaysian mainland, of an underwater tunnel.
The allegations date from his time as Chief Minister of the Local Government of Penang between 2008 and 2012.
Nevertheless, Mr Eng denied the allegations he said were motivated politically.
The short-lived Pakatan Harapan government took on the duties of a former Prime Minister, Najib Razak who was jailed for twelve months in July after the elections of May 2018, in part because of allegations of corruption.
After the collapse of the Mahathir-led coalition in February, Mr Razak 's allies returned to power.
