Former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has won the APC Presidential Primary Election. The election started yesterday at the Eagles Square, Abuja; with total of 23 screened aspirants. But, the race was later reduced to Vice President Yemi Osinbanjo, Senator Bola Tinubu, Romiti Amaechi, Senate President Ahmed Lawan, David Umahi, Prof Ben Ayade, Yahaya Bello and Ahmed Sani, with some of the aspirants stepping down to support other Aspirants before the election.
According to the election results, Bola Tinubu has 1,271 votes while Vice President Yemi Osinbanjo has 235 votes.
With his emergence, Bola Tinubu has become the official APC Presidential Flagbearer in the 2023 Election. With him from APC, Bola Tinubu will be meeting his counterparts across other political parties come 2023 Election.
As the 2023 election comes closer, with tomorrow been the deadline set by INEC for submission of Party's Flagbearer, some of the candidates include: Bola Tinubu (APC), Atiku Abubakar (PDP), Omoyele Sowore (AAC), Peter Obi (LP), amongst others.
