Deyemi Okanlawon is a Model, Brand Influencer and a Nigerian film, television, theatre and voice actor. He was born on April 19, 1979 in Lagos, the Southwest region of Nigeria to an Aircraft Engineer father, Mr. Adeyemi Okanlawon, and mother, Mrs. Adeyinka Okanlawon who is a baker and entrepreneur.  Okanlawon and his family lives in Lagos state, the largest commercial city in Nigeria. This is where He attended Taikenny Nursery and Primary School in Lagos before he proceeded to International School, Lagos for his secondary education, after which he got admission to study Chemical Engineering at the University of Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria. He also obtained a Certificate in Acting for Film, from the New York Film Academy. Okanlawon had his first experience with acting at the age of 5, when he featured in an end-of-year play while in primary school. Deyemi Okanlawon worked as a baker, sales and marketing executive before he came into limelight in acting and become an outstanding actor in the Nollywood industry.

At the age of 9, Okanlawon featured in a nationally syndicated Television commercial with Kunle Bamtefa. While at the University of Lagos, Okanlawon became an active member of the drama groups Gf(x) (Harvesters Company), Xtreme Reaction and Snapshots (Covenant Christian Centre).  He is known for his roles in the TV Series Gidi Up and An African City. He also featured in Movies like “If Tomorrow Comes and Road to Yesterday” with cameo appearances in a several Nigerian music videos including No be You by Waje, Soldier by Falz & Simi and Aramide. Okanlawon made his film debut in the 2010 movie ZR-7, before he featured in a short film titled A Grain of Wheat. He went on to feature in and co-produce many more short-films and in 2012 he had was already recognized for his numerous appearances in made-for-internet short films and web series including Blink, 6:30pm and Knock Knock. The Lagos born actor also had roles in movies such as Greg Odutayos Beyond Blood starring Joseph Benjamin and Kehinde Bankole; Pascal Amanfos If Tomorrow Never Comes starring Yvonne Nelson, Ishaya Bakos Road To Yesterday starring Genevieve Nnaji and Majid Michel and Pascal Amanfos No Mans Land starring Adjetey Anang. He was in NdaniTVs series Gidi Up with OC Ukeje, Titilope Sonuga, Somkele Iyamah and Joke Silva. Okanlawon also featured in the TV Series Taste of Love, Lekki Wives, An African City and Dowry. His hard work has earned him awards including the 2013 award for Best Actor in a Short Film at the In-Short film festival for his role as a psychotic husband in the thriller, Blink.

The actor is one of the richest Nollywood actors who has amassed wealth with the net worth of an estimated $1million., playing several roles in movies and television series. Okanlawon is married to his beloved wife Damilola. They got married in January 2013 and welcome their first child on July 10, 2016. The couple have been living in peace and harmony. In 2015, Deyemi founded Covenant Entertainment Services, a production and talent management firm and soon became a consultant to Silverbird Film Distribution. In 2019 he took up the position of marketing  manager at Silverbird Distribution, rose to head Nollywood and Independent movie distribution and thereafter took over the management of the operations of the company as acting manager. The father-of-two noted that he doesnt allow his family life to affect his career and vice-versa, adding that he gives his full attention to both aspects of his life.

Same year he won the Best New Media online video at Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA).  He won an Afrinolly Award as Best Animation.  He also won Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards for Revelation of the Year, GMA awards as Best Actor African Collaboration in year 2015. He was nominated as Best Actor in a Drama Series in year 2016.  In 2019 He was nominated for Best of Nollywood Awards as Best supporting Actor-English. He was also nominated in AMVCA Awards as Best Actor in Comedy, 2022.
