Marriage in this Bayankole tribe is of great importance as parents derive joy and pride from their children’s marriage.According to this Ugandan tradition, when a girl gets to the age of eight or nine, it is the duty of her aunt to groom her for family life.

Virginity in this culture is held in high esteem so the girls must abstain from premarital s€x.

The Ankole tribe considers the slim physique unattractive. To them, fat is simply sexy. So when girls get to the ages eight and nine, they are required to go through a fattening process. This is usually done to speed up the weight gain of the girls so they can attract a husband.

The Banyakole marriage involves several ceremonies including a Giveaway period know as “Kuhingira” where the relatives and friends of the bride present her with gifts such as cows and other food items to take to her matrimonial home.

On the wedding day, a feast is organized at the bride’s home where the father is to slaughter a bull while at the groom’s home there is also a feast to consummate the marriage.

But first, there has to be one last ceremony, that involves tests that must be done by the bride’s aunt. 

It involves the bride’s aunt testing the sexual ability of the groom by having s€x with him. This is to make sure they are potent. 

During the act, she learns all his s€x tricks as well as favorite styles so she can gift her niece with pointers on what the goom likes sexually.

After confirmation is done the bride is then taught by her Aunt and allowed to consummate the marriage by being sent by her Aunt to the husband with her blessings.

PDP G-5 Governors Is Plus For APC, Says Oshiomhole

Adams Oshiomhole, former governor of Edo, says the five governors at the centre of the crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will be an advantage for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 elections.Dubbed as G5, the five governors — Nyesom Wike of Rivers, Seyi Makinde of Oyo, Samuel Ortom of Benue, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia, and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu — are among the stakeholders calling for the resignation of Iyorchia Ayu as the party’s chairman.

The call is said to be on the grounds that the party’s presidential candidate and national chairman cannot be from the same region.

Speaking on Friday after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja, Oshiomhole, former APC national chairman, said his party is on course to win in the forthcoming elections.

He criticised Atiku Abubakar, the PDP presidential candidate, for not supporting a southern candidate, as well as the latter’s recent comments on the preference for a northern candidate.

“You now have the G-5 governors who said the understanding we reached in Asaba, voluntarily, both by PDP and APC governors, they stand by that agreement,” he said.

“[They said] that leaders must have character, and that if you are not yet president and you are not obeying agreement, and Nigerians are talking of national unity, you disobeyed the provision of your party constitution, which talks about rotation in order to service that unity, and you can go to some parts of the country and say ‘don’t vote for Igbo, don’t vote for Yoruba’.

We Have Cash In Forest, Give Us More Time On Naira Redesign - Miyatti Allah

The leader of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, South-East chapter, Gidado Siddiki, has appealed to the Central Bank of Nigeria to extend the deadline given for the circulation of the Country’s new currency notes.

Siddiki made the call in  an interview with journalists in Awka, on Thursday. He said the December 15, 2022, deadline should be extended for another three months to enable members of the association bring out their money from the forests to avoid huge losses on their part.

He said the appeal became necessary because according to him, the group are majorly living in forest and bushes as a result of their business, they needed more time to bring out their savings for proper transformation to the new redesigned notes.

The Central Bank of Nigeria had announced the redesigning of the three highest currency denominations: N200, N500 and N1,000 notes.

Miyetti Allah said, “We can not fight or reverse government policies as law abiding citizens of Nigeria, we are only appealing to the CBN to help us extend the deadline for another three months, so as to enable the leadership of Miyetti Allah reach out properly to those living in out of telecommunication areas across states of the federation.”

American R&B singer, Brandon Smith popularly known as B. Smyth has died from Pulmonary fibrosis.His older brother, Denzil, made this known in a video post via Smith’s Instagram account on Thursday.

Asake’s Fans Laments Concert Ticket Prices

Nigerian singer, Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has been trending after the prices for his Lagos concert surfaced online.The concert which is scheduled to hold in December had prices for tables and VIP only. No regular tickets.

Tickets for tables will sell for between three million naira to 10 million naira while the VIP tickets, where the holders will stand throughout the show, will be available for N70, 000 only.

This has caused a lot of Nigerians to react with most lamenting how expensive the ticket prices are. 

Lamenting how he has been budgeting for the show, Roni Elemi said, “I actually feel really betrayed by the prices of Asake’s ticket. I’ve tried to play it cool all day but I am really sad. 

"My friends and I were legit budgeting and doing song arrangement, only to be told that you never even had a chance to make it to the gate. Not fair.”

Igwe said, “Asake indexed his pricing to the USD without considering the fact that we are simply too poor in Nigeria. Imagine paying $100 for a regular ticket. Wish him all the best but I am out.”

Lecturer caughts his wife in hotel room with his student

A Kenyan lecturer became furious and disappointed when he nabbed his wife having an affair with a student at a local hotel.It was gathered that the man has been hearing of wife’s infidelity but there was no way to prove it, however, on one fateful day he got information that she was with her lover in a hotel room.

The lecturer stormed the hotel in Mosoriot, Nandi and caught her red-handed with a student simply known as Brian.

Local media reports that the man said his wife did not sleep at home the previous night while the young boy has been absent from regular classes during the day.

The young student is said to be studying at Kenyan Medical Training College where the lecturer works.

After catching them red-handed, the lecturer shamed called the attention of people and shamed his wife by taking photos and videos of them.

A photo which surfaced online showed Brian in only his underwear as he did not have time to put on his clothes when the lecturer barged into the room.

Whereas the man’s wife covered her face in shame when he kept trying to show her face on camera and berated her for her disloyalty.In other news, it was gathered how a Nigerian man expressed fears that his wife may cheat on him giving a recent comment she made.

The guy known as King of Guam @KingofGuam1 on Twitter, said his wife revealed that she would cheat on him if she finds a man that can give her 10 million Naira.

He said they were having a conversation about some of his married friends who cheat with other men’s wives when she spoke her mind.

According to him, his wife condemned the women engaging in adultery, however, she said she would only cheat if the amount offered to her is N10m.

King of Guam was shocked by her response because he had always trusted her to remain faithful.

He revealed that after hearing what was in her mind, he kept quiet because he was too stunned and in disbelief to respond.

He explained how the trust he had in her started shaking when he saw how she acts strange whenever she gets huge amounts of money.

Guam further sought advice on what social media users think his wife may do in the future if the circumstances presents itself.

In his words; ”I was discussing with my wife yesterday about some married guys I know who were dating other people’s wife.
