Presidency Makes U-Turn On Earlier Announced Nationwide Address

The presidency has denied the report that President Muhammad Buhari will address the nation today.

The special adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina said there was no plan the president would address the country today, Monday 18.
This is in contrary to earlier received and widely published reports across media outlets. He, however, said that the next move to be taken on the virus would be conveyed during the Presidential Task Force briefing later today.

In his tweet, "No presidential broadcast on COVID-19 updates today. None was planned. Rather, the Presidential Task Force will during its usual media briefings bring the nation up to speed on the next steps"
