Idahosa Backs Obaseki For Second Term

“Obaseki must do his eight years. Nothing can prevent him. If anybody by mistake or delegation ‎does that, APC is lifeless in Edo State,” he advised.

Idahosa, a past political consultant to the ex-comrade governor, Adams Oshiomhole, spoke when a symposium of APC chairmen in the 18 local government ‎areas of the state paid him a solidarity stay in his house in Benin City.

He insisted that nobody challenged ex-governors Lucky Igbinedion and Adams Oshiomhole when they strived to bid for second terms of office and marveled why Obaseki should not do a second term of office.

Idahosa who said he sits as a rock of Gibraltar behind Obaseki in his mission for a second term ticket, said Obaseki is very observant and straight forward and nobody can remake him.

He said the purpose why the problem in the party had lingered without compromise was because Oshiomhole is jealous of Obaseki’s successes, declaring that the APC national chairman is the one “running from the settlement because he has bragged he will do this, he will do that.

‎”For those whose humane spirit broke their palm kernel for them, they should not believe they are God,” Idahosa said in a camouflaged quotation to Oshiomhole, and urged against making the APC problem a tribal matter, adding that Edo State is one.

Idahosa further bragged that Governor Obaseki will overthrow all the other governorship candidates again as governor, remembering that he did so before when he was not a governor.

Earlier, the chairman of the chairmen symposium and chairman of the APC in Orhionmwon local government area, Ben Oghumu, said the objective of their symposium was to bring sense and unity into APC and called for support from Idahosa, even as he pledged for support for Obaseki’s bid for a second term.
