PDP senator dumps party for APC

A big shot of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa State, Senator Nimi Amange, dumped the All Progressives Congress Party (APC).

Amange, representing Bayelsa East in the Senate, said he joined APC because the Governor Seriake Dickson PDP arrogated to himself.

Amange said in a letter addressed to the President of II quarter Nembe local government support to APC began before the 2019 election when he helped win the party of his senatorial district seat in the House of representatives.

He said: "When I was in PDP, we have been enslaved by one man who considered himself emperor. There were no political activity, even if you want to be a consultant. The 105 advisers were appointed by him. The eight presidents were appointed by him. I can not be part of that.

"I am one of the founding fathers of PDP in Bayelsa State. I have not joined the PDP; I was part of the training in August 1998 and I've been here. But I've never seen this kind of authoritarian regime.

"So I decided to pitch my tent with a part that can uproot the part of the ground so that Bayelsans will be released. I promise Bayelsans will be released next November 16.

"Today I can tell you that the APC candidate, David Lyon, comes from the Southern Ijaw council; is counsel with the highest voting power. Undoubtedly, this advice is for APC. I just Nembe and by joining APC, Nembe fell into the hands of CPAs.

"Brass is where Timipre Sylva comes and brass is typically for APC. These three tips are gone and we can give Kolokuma / Opokuma, the smallest council in PDP because their candidate is there.

"Sagbama, where the current governor comes, will be awarded because of his running mate is there.

"The governor has is where he chose vice governor candidate of his party. The question is what other tips do? We can still make a gift to him. We take three, they take two. The remaining boards are 50/50 ".
