Acting Head of Service Yemi-Esan takes over from Oyo-Ita

The acting head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF), Dr. Folashade Yemi-Esan, took office Thursday.

In a statement released by Olawunmi Ogunmosunle, the Director, Information Office HCSF said duty qu'assument Yemi-Esan at about 6:40 p.m. after being received by members of the office staff.



According Ogunmosunle Yemi-Esan in his remarks acknowledged the hard work and devotion to duty of its predecessor and promised to build on the achievements of Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita.

"There are not reinventing the will. I will build on the solid foundation and structure she left behind because the government is a continuum, "the statement quoted the new HoS saying.

The HCSF acting solicited for sustained support and cooperation to the outgoing HCSF.

Ogunmosunle said Mrs Winifred Oyo-Ita, the outgoing HCSF in his surrender speech, said his nearly four years as HCSF was interesting and eventful.



Oyo-Ita predented a discount of 153 pages of notes with Annex; meaning the working depth in the office of HCSF.

The news director said Oyo-Ita thanked President Muhammadu Buhari to give the opportunity to serve.

She said further that Oyo-Ita acknowledged that the government was a continuum and encouraged the incoming HCSF to build on what she had done.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the ceremony was seen by permanent secretaries, directors and other senior staff in the HCSF Office.



It would be recalled that the President had on September 18 approved the appointment of Yemi-Esan as HCSF Acting with immediate effect.

The development followed the direction given in Oyo-Ita to undertake an indefinite leave to allow the conclusion of the investigation by the Committee on Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
